AVANCEM supports the 4th DONES Users Workshop and strengthens its Big Science capabilities
AVANCEM Engineering will take part as a Supporting Sponsor of the fourth edition of the DONES Users Workshop, bringing together the scientific, technological and industrial community involved in developing IFMIF-DONES from 13 to 15 October at CIEMAT in Madrid.
AVANCEM Engineering will participate as a Supporting Sponsor in the fourth edition of the DONES Users Workshop, taking place from 13 to 15 October at CIEMAT in Madrid.
The meeting brings together the international community of scientists, engineers, research organisations and industry involved in defining the future experimental programme of IFMIF-DONES.
Currently under construction in Escúzar, Granada, IFMIF-DONES will play a key role in the European roadmap towards fusion energy, providing a neutron environment similar to that experienced by materials in future fusion reactors.
The facility will enable the testing and qualification of materials for DEMO and future fusion power plants, providing essential information for developing technologies capable of operating under extremely demanding conditions.
The fourth edition of the DONES Users Workshop also comes at a particularly important stage for the project. As construction progresses, the needs of future experiments must be connected to the engineering decisions being made today, from technical feasibility and implementation to infrastructure requirements.
This is precisely where science and industry need to work together.
At AVANCEM, we are strengthening our capabilities in mechanical engineering, advanced manufacturing, vacuum technologies, welding and special processes, metrology and testing, systems integration and quality for Big Science projects.
The objective is clear: to turn complex scientific requirements into industrial solutions that can be manufactured, verified and qualified.
AVANCEM’s participation as a Supporting Sponsor of the DONES Users Workshop also offers an opportunity to further connect our industrial capabilities with the scientific and technological community shaping some of Europe’s most strategic research infrastructures.
AVANCEM will support this edition alongside Main Sponsor Kyoto Fusioneering and fellow Supporting Sponsor Gauss Fusion.
From Cantabria, we continue to develop industrial capabilities for scientific and technological projects in which engineering, manufacturing and quality must advance together.
