Thermomechanical components for PLATO
Design and manufacture of thermomechanical components for the characterisation of PLATO mission cameras
Thermomechanical components for the characterisation of the PLATO mission cameras, with demanding precision and thermal stability requirements.
Description
The project.
The work forms part of the PLATO camera characterisation campaign run by the INTA Space Optics Department, where components must retain their geometry and thermal behaviour throughout the test programme.
Technical scope
- Thermomechanical design
- High-precision manufacturing
- Dimensional inspection
- Preparation for the test campaign
