Cover protection for hydrostatic testing — Hyper-Kamiokande
Laser-welded conical cover protection for hydrostatic testing
Laser-welded conical cover protection for the hydrostatic tests of the Hyper-Kamiokande project.
Description
The project.
Hyper-Kamiokande is an international neutrino telescope under construction in Japan, intended to investigate the fundamental properties of neutrinos and to shed light on the origin of the matter–antimatter imbalance after the Big Bang. The facility will consist of a tank approximately 71 m deep and 68 m in diameter, able to detect the flashes produced by the interaction of neutrinos with ultrapure water molecules.
Technical scope
- Design adaptation
- Laser welding
- Manufacture of the cover protection
- Preparation for hydrostatic testing
