Cloche Kit – HV Feedthrough Chamber – ITER
Design for manufacture, pre-series and serial production of vacuum components
Industrialisation and manufacture of a mechanical assembly for ITER’s HV Feedthrough, with a six-unit pre-series and 588 serial-production units.
Description
The project.
The Cloche Kit is a mechanical assembly associated with ITER’s HV Feedthrough. It combines vacuum chamber and cable strain relief functions, providing the conditions needed for assembly testing, including vacuum and leak-tightness tests.
As a direct supplier to ITER Organization, AVANCEM undertakes design for manufacture, validation through a six-unit pre-series and serial production of 588 units: a total programme of 594 units. The industrial scope covers precision machining, cleaning, assembly, inspection and FAT, including helium leak testing of every unit, with in-house manufacturing and traceability control.
Technical scope
- Design for manufacture and industrialisation of the assembly
- Production and validation of a six-unit pre-series
- Serial manufacture of 588 units
- Precision machining, cleaning and assembly
- FAT and helium leak testing of 100% of units
- In-house manufacturing, quality control and traceability
